It started during a warm spell in Montana.

We almost got skunked.

But not quite.

Everything I always hoped. Must have walked up there twenty times before to find the pillar broken off.

  1. Bravo for SMI and PoP!

How do you like the Nomics? Specifically, last year I had a concern about how they drove out of the ice, but of course I only used them twice – at the ice park. I had been dry-tooling with them, so I was told that I should sharpen the upper part of the pick.

      Thanks Borut,
I have not had bad problems with the Nomics getting stuck. I do file down the ‘nose’ of the pick, where it starts to slope down to the point. But, I’m a noodle-armed tapper not a hitter, plus I’m comparing these tools to my last set, which was a pair of Quantum Techs. I was afraid I’d have to chop those out of the ice a couple of times.
